Gen 3040- Molecular Biology Laboratory

A lab focused on plasmid recombination. Students learned how to manipulate the genes of E. Coli and repopulate the strain in a laboratory setting. 

 

 

CH 1020- General Chemistry

Focused on the essential topics of chemistry to build off of in later science courses. Covered topics such as chemical bonding, stoichiometry, and thermochemistry to be covered more in depth in other courses. 

 

 

GEN 3000- Fundamental Genetics

Emphasised how genetics influence life. From Mendiallian genetics to DNA replication, this course covered the essential elements of gene influence in living beings. 

 

 

BCHM 3050- Essential Elements of Biochemistry

This course taught the basics of biochemistry. Students learned amino acid structures and discovered how different pathways play different roles in life forms.
