  • Organized and led various enriching activities and special groups for elementary aged children. Campaigned to school and church officials to be granted funding for implementation of various projects, such as raised bed gardens, composting systems,  and worm farms. Focused on educating kids on their health and the health of the planet through gardening classes, healthy food talks, and exercise.

Involvement

Zeta Tau Alpha, Kappa Zeta Chapter

  • Big Man on Campus

    • Director (2024)

      • Coordinated Clemson’s largest philanthropic event over the course of 8 months by reaching out to other campus organizations who submitted contestants for an all male pageant. Connected with local businesses and organizations to earn sponsorships, fundraise, and raise $190,000 for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, breaking national records for Zeta Tau Alpha. 

    • Tabling Chair (2023)

      • Coordinated tabling and outreach events both on Clemson’s main campus and downtown Clemson with the main goal of fundraising and promote the Big Man on Campus event.

    • Liaison (2022, 2023)

      • Served as the contact point for contestants between BMOC Comittee leaders and ZTA executive council. Ensured that contestants were completing requirements, helped them fundraise, and kept them up to date on any competition changes. 

  • Think Pink Week

    • Director (2024)

      • Planned and coordinated a week long philanthropic fundraiser for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Organized a flag football tournament with Clemson Football players as referees and appearances from the Clemson Tiger. Ended the week of fundraising with a Breast Cancer Survivors Brunch, celebrating the brave women who beat Breast Cancer and the $10,000 raised throughout the week. 

Clemson American Sign Language Club

  • Attended events with the local deaf community and participated in community-building activities focused on strengthening members’ American Sign Language skills and building bonds with the deaf community. 

Women’s Lifting Club

  • Built bonds with women in the Clemson community over shared passions for health and wellness. Organized many women-focused service initiatives to benefit the local community, such as period product drives and fundraising for women’s organizations. 

Volunteering

Medical Assistant Intern

  • Worked at Emergency MD, an urgent care clinic in Greenville, SC, as a medical assistant intern. Triaged patients, performed wound care, EKGs, injections, and more. Learned how to chart, bill, and file for insurance.

Respite Ministries

  • Established meaningful connections with special needs children, their siblings, and their parents by organizing special events for the children and their siblings to attend monthly, while giving their parents respite from busy schedules. 

Bridges Ministries

  • Served as a Sunday School teacher to special needs children at Bethany United Methodist Church.

Miracle League

  • Volunteered as a special buddy to handicapped children during whiffle ball games.

Predisan Missions

  • Travelled to Honduras on a medical mission trip to provide surgical services to an underserved population. Worked as an assistant to the surgical team, pre- and post- operation teams, and maintenance teams. 

Clemson Athletic Events

  • Handed out Breast Cancer ribbons to attendees of Clemson sporting events. Partnered with different Clemson sports teams to coordinate Breast Cancer Pink Out games to raise awareness for the cause.
